In many a class room a hush would fall over the students as the TV and VCR was wheeled into the classroom. Chances were, this was a Bill Nye day, and there was nothing better than a Bill Nye day.
Regardless of which side of the fence your on, there’s a certain nostalgia that comes with Bill Nye and his bow tie. His enthusiasm for science and encouraging a generation of children through an award-winning science show to pursue to make the world a better place through the scientific process was nothing less than a force of good, and seeing him in the spotlight is a happy moment. The fact that he took the invitation to debate at a creationist museum where he’s portrayed as the defender is nothing shy of humble as well. Ken Ham is an incredible man as well with a good sense of humor, and his passion should most certainly be admired and respected.
