Fast and Furious 7, Back on Track After Fitting Hiatus

Fast and Furious 7

Months after the fatal car crash which killed Paul Walker, the cast and crew of Fast and Furious 7 are headed back to the set.

Universal announced earlier this week that the seventh movie in the Fast and Furious franchise will resume production in April. Filming was halted last November, after the death of Paul Walker who played Brian O’Conner in the previous 6 films. Until recently, it was unclear how the movie would handle the untimely death since Walker had already been written into and shot scenes for the movie. In early January, however, THR broke the news that Fast and Furious director, James Wan, and writer, Chris Morgan had found a way to keep Walker’s scenes in the new film and still retire his character without killing him off. Fingers crossed it’s a tasteful salute to the man who was such an integral piece of the franchise for fourteen years.

Fast and Furious 7 is slated to hit theaters April 10, 2015.
