“Once Upon a Time” is welcoming back fan-favorite Meghan Ory to reprise her role as Little Red Riding Hood/Ruby Lucas for the second-half of season 3.
Fans were disappointed last May when it was revealed that, due to the Neverland arc, Meghan Ory would be moving on to a new CBS show, “Intelligence”, rather than returning in Season 3. The departure seemed to be an amicable split as both Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis as well as Ory expressed sincere regret at the decision. Luckily for us, OUaT’s return to Storybrooke has opened up the possibility for reappearances of supporting characters like Ruby Lucas, Grumpy (Lee Arenberg) and Nova (Amy Ackers). It was confirmed by Horowitz that Ory would be rejoining OUaT for at least an episode in the second half of season 3.
One actor who won’t be making a comeback, unfortunately for us, is Jamie Dornan who played the scruffy Sheriff Graham back in season one. Though his storyline ended much too soon for many viewers (a necessary evil to reveal more about Regina’s character), Kitsis and Horowitz were happy to bring him back last season for an important flashback episode. Sadly, this season, Dornan had to decline the opportunity for another reappearance due to his busy schedule. Between Fifty Shade of Grey (where the Irish actor will play the infamous Christian Grey) and “The Fall” (a new crime drama starring Gillian Anderson) Dornan simply wasn’t able to squeeze in an OUaT episode. Fingers crossed, once his schedule clears a bit, we’ll see him don the sheriff jacket just one more time.
