I Am ‘Sherlocked’: Sherlockians Finally Have A Con of Their Own

Sherlockians, rejoice! Sherlockology announces the very first SHERLOCKED: The Official Sherlock Convention.

Sherlock and John

Hold onto your deerstalker cap, because you’re about to be blown away. Sherlockology announced that in 2013 there will be a massive event honoring the incredibly successful BBC series Sherlock.

Over the course of 3 days, the convention expects to feature activities, guest stars from the cast and crew, talks, photo shoots, autograph sessions and lots more.

Sherlock’s producer Sue Vertue exclusively told us: “We’re very excited to be announcing our first official Sherlock convention for later in the year, aptly named SHERLOCKED. Massive Events have been pestering me for ages to get a date for this in the schedule but we wanted to make sure that we had the time and energy to make it a great, high quality and fun event, and now we have! Watch
this space.”

This event should help tide fans over until the next season/series of Sherlock. While Steven Moffat and Mark Grattis were giddily working on Series 4 and 5 and hoping to get the next episode out by Christmas, the sad reality is, that might just not happen. Here at Larkable, we would throw a hissy fit worthy of attention, but the real reason Sherlock isn’t coming together as quickly as we like is because all energy is being diverted to Doctor Who. So we zip our traps, clench our fists, and glare angrily at the computer screen, because, actually…we love Doctor Who. We love Doctor Who a lot.

Also, Sherlock was never and has never been a priority for Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman because they were both already big screen actors when they took on the roles for fun. Allegedly, everyone loves the roles and are eager to be back in action, however, it seems this is their “downtime” job. Their schedules are booked months in advanced, so Sherlock just has to work when everyone’s schedules allow. So, there’s the bad news. But the good news is they love it as much as we do, so they’ll be coming back eventually!

One’s thing for sure: we’re most certainly Sherlocked.

Sherlockology has been hard at work cleverly promoting this newly anticipated event. See if you’re a worthy consulting detective and figure out the clues:
