Breaking: Doctor Who Returns This August!

No specific dates yet, unfortunately, BUT there’s a Doctor Who Series 8 trailer to ease the wait!

Okay, so it’s only 15 seconds…but at this point, it’s better than nothing. Series 8 marks the first season for lifelong Whovian Peter Capaldi, who took over Matt Smith’s role in the 2013 Christmas special. Based on his boyish excitement over the role and his previous roles, it’s safe to assume — Capaldi is going to hit it out of the park this fall.

New Writer Credits for Season 8 of Doctor Who!

No, it’s not a Doctor Who trailer — or even an air date, but at least we know who else is crafting Peter Capaldi’s narrative this season. Digital Spy broke the news earlier today, April 30th, that BBC veteran writers, Peter Harness and Jamie Mathieson will draft episodes for the eighth series of new Who. In a recent Q&A in Brazil, Eternal Troll Mark Gatiss teased fans that writers may feature another famous British novelist on Doctor Who. Since the revival of Doctor Who in 2005, writers have introduced our favorite time traveling alien to Agatha Christie, Winston Churchill, William Shakespeare, Charles Dickens and two English Queens.
