Maybe not all whovians, but for everyone who voted in Rose Tyler as the best modern companion is going to flip when they see the photo Billie Piper uploaded to Facebook! Whovians, prepare yourself: Billie Piper’s Official Facebook Page just posted this incredible photo… The caption on her page read “Love in SLC! Having a fabulous time!! Xx” And yep, you’re correct: that awesome red-head is totally Karen Gillan, or as we all know her as, Nebula. OK, fine, Amy Pond. Just look at Karen…
No specific dates yet, unfortunately, BUT there’s a Doctor Who Series 8 trailer to ease the wait!
Okay, so it’s only 15 seconds…but at this point, it’s better than nothing. Series 8 marks the first season for lifelong Whovian Peter Capaldi, who took over Matt Smith’s role in the 2013 Christmas special. Based on his boyish excitement over the role and his previous roles, it’s safe to assume — Capaldi is going to hit it out of the park this fall.
Season Eight of our beloved Doctor Who can’t come soon enough, so to tide you over, here’s a quote the Doctor Who Hub on Facebook shared:
Despite nailing roles in the BBC Broadchurch and a west end production of “Once,” Arthur Darvill is still mainly known for his role as The Last Centurion, Rory Williams.
We all know of plenty of brilliant actors who were typecast based on their first big role, so it’s not as if Arthur Darvill is the first (nor will he be the last). But how he’s chosen to express his frustration? Absolutely brilliant. Check it out!

Presumably in honor of Doctor Who’s 50th Anniversary, talented fan Richard Swarbrick created an absolutely beautiful animated tribute.
We present, “50 Years in Time and Space”.
All the feels.
Check out more of Swarbrick’s phenomenal work, including “The Cats of Youtube,” and “Football Brought to Life” here!
Remember Frozen’s “Do You Wanna Build a Snowman?” more like, “Do You Wanna Steal a Tardis?”
Check out North Rory‘s cover of the hit Disney song!
When Matt Smith’s departure from “Doctor Who,” several fans were disappointed. Maybe none were as concerned as one specific little girl, watch Peter Capaldi reassure this tiny fan: For those of you who couldn’t quite understand that, don’t worry: the internet has already created a gifset for you. Was that girl in a dalek costume? Why, yes. Yes, she was, (as if this exchange wasn’t cute enough already).Curious about the backstory? Buzzfeed published a statement from a family member of the girl: “Hiya, the little…
Just a week after Karen Gillan was forced to withdraw from the Australian Whoniverse Con, Matt Smith sent his regards that he wouldn’t be able to attend either. Hub Productions posted on their website this morning that, in order to be able to give fans the best possible experience they found it best to cancel the event given that no other modern Doctors were available to appear either. This is fairly out of character for Smith, who regularly appears at fan events and conventions. The…
ABC’s new television show, “Selfie,” is going to make you laugh…and possibly reevaluate some life choices. But most importantly? Karen Gillan returns to a TV near you as the star of this upcoming comedy! What’s that one quote, something about art holding up a mirror to society? Karen Gillan’s newest comedy, “Selfie,” is certainly going to be doing a lot of that, if the synopsis is anything to go by. Created by Emily Kapnek (known for her work on sitcoms “Suburgatory” and “As Told By…
Hot on the heels of speculation over River Song returning to Doctor Who, We have confirmation that Matt Smith will be returning for a cameo as Eleven in Series 8. Confused? So were we. But it seems that viewers weren’t the only ones who weren’t quite ready to bid Matt Smith “Goodbye.” Big Wigs at BBC and Head Writer for the show, Steven Moffat, collaborated on a way to bring back Matt’s Doctor (Eleven) for one last farewell moment. Smith, who was nominated for a…
Not if Matt Smith has anything to say about it! At least, that’s what Smith told the masses at the Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con over this past weekend. Alex Kingston’s River Song first appeared on Doctor Who back in Tennant’s era for what was thought to be a one-time guest appearance. That all changed once Matt Smith came in and Moffat became headwriter. Kingston was invited back multiple times to develop River Song, her narrative and her relationship with the doctor. River’s character…
Fans of one tend to be fans of the other. Doctor Who and Sherlock are brilliant, clever, and all that genius is incredibly sexy! With Sherlock Series 3 wrapped up, time to go back and look at the easter eggs and cross-overs of our favorite British blokes: Hair raising. Abosolutely hair raising. And just for the Sherlockians:
