“The Giver” Trailer Will Have You On The Edge of Your Seat

It’s taken 20 years, but we’re almost there. “The Giver” comes out August 15, 2014!

Larkable brought you new stills back in January for the exciting movie adaptation of Lois Lowry’s popular book, “The Giver”.  Produced by and starring Jeff Bridges, who was the book’s biggest advocate for decades,  the movie also features Hollywood giants like Meryl Streep and Alexander Skarsgård, as well as breakout performer Brenton Thwaites (who plays Jonas Salk).

Audiences can also expect to see Katie Holmes and Taylor Swift among the many faces in the trailer. Some surprises include a romantic sub-plot from screenwriter Michael Mitnick, and some pretty futuristic technology, advanced beyond what was presented in the book — but worse things could have happened. As Bridges told Entertainment Weekly, “the spirit of the story is still there.”

All in all, we’re pretty thrilled Harvey Weinstein finally got on board with this idea, because it looks like the movie is going to exceed expectations all around.

I’m a novel reader (well, audiobook listener), so I don’t put a lot of time into comics,…

Andrew Garfield is our favorite in the upcoming ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’

Sony released a nearly 4 minute long trailer for the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie, hitting theaters May 2, and we couldn’t be more excited! The Amazing Spider-Man 2 preview looks incredible. Not to undermine Toby Maguire or anything, but Andrew Garfield portrays the spider-man I watched all those afternoons after school just so much better. He’s clearly more awkward, uncertain of himself, focuses on sporting incredible hair like any other teenager trying to attract a beautiful girl would, and is quietly brilliant. Garfield…

Wait Until You See This Enchanting Preview. You’ll Think She Shines Too!

Everyone’s been pretty hyped about the new Maleficent movie, and with good reason. Maleficent features a new take on the classic tale of Sleeping Beauty (released by Disney in 1959). The new trailer, featuring Lana del Ray’s haunting cover of “Once Upon a Dream,” first aired last night during the Grammy’s. The commercial is interspersed with shots of a curious Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora, a devious and determined Angelina Jolie as Maleficent, and exciting battle scenes. The teaser certainly does its job of enticing audiences. By all accounts,…
