A new full-length trailer for Michael Bay’s latest Transformers flick has just hit the web- are you ready for it?
There’s no Shia LaBeouf this time around, but for most this news is only upsetting because it means that Sam Whitwicky’s goofy parents (played by Kevin Dunn and Julie White) won’t be bumbling around. The newest Transformers features a whole new cast of characters — most notably Mark Wahlberg, but Nicola Peltz (known for her role on Bates Motel), Stanley Tucci and Kelsey Grammar also make the list.
Wahlberg plays a mechanic who accidentally buys a rusty old Autobot (which turns out to be Optimus Prime) instead of a rusty old trailer whose parts were supposed to put his daughter through college. Talk about an accident: the next thing Wahlberg knows, government agents are knocking down his door, looking to destroy Optimus Prime. Stanley Tucci gets involved (“Don’t you get it? We don’t need you anymore”), and BOOM! Suddenly Optimus Prime is giving a Tyrannosaurus Rex Shaped Decepticon the smackdown.
Confused? Don’t worry, those are only the highlights. Check out the full trailer below!
Transformers: Age of Extinction hits theaters June 27, 2015. Michael Bay, of course, directed the feature while Ehren Kruger, who penned both “Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon” and “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”, returned to write the script.
