Could it be? Is it true? Heck yes! Emma Stone is one lean, mean, lip syncing machine!
In case you needed any other reason to love the funny, beautiful and very talented Emma Stone, she showed Jimmy Fallon up on his lip sync battle quite unlike anyone else. You may ask, “Even better than Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s lip sync battle?” to which I respond…possibly. This girl doesn’t hold back.
Despite nailing roles in the BBC Broadchurch and a west end production of “Once,” Arthur Darvill is still mainly known for his role as The Last Centurion, Rory Williams.
We all know of plenty of brilliant actors who were typecast based on their first big role, so it’s not as if Arthur Darvill is the first (nor will he be the last). But how he’s chosen to express his frustration? Absolutely brilliant. Check it out!
After years and years of sporting a bow tie, have you ever wondered how quick Bill Nye is at tying it?
Maybe you haven’t. But if you have, you wouldn’t be alone. Geekosystem caught up with everyone’s favorite Science Guy at SXSW this year and challenged him to a Historic Bow Tie-ing Competition. The results will leave you certain: tying all those Bow Tie’s over the years was not the job of Nye’s wardrobe guy.
To see more of Geekosystem’s interview with The Science Guy — in which he answers several questions from The Internet — check out their playlist from SXSW!
At a Denver Comic Con, a fan asked Wil Wheaton if he was ever called a nerd, and if he was, what did he do? What he had to say made our hearts swell with pride.
Chances are, at some point in your life you’ve had to face someone who didn’t like the things you like. In fact, they didn’t like the things you like so much that they decided to make fun of you for it. We’ve all been there. But how are we supposed to handle it?
A fan asked Twitter sensation, Star Trek: The Next Generation star, and The Big Bang Theory recurring guest Wil Wheaton if he was ever called a nerd, and how did he handle it?
We’ve all heard the bully speech–bullies just don’t understand. Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. Bullies are stupid.
Yeah, but it doesn’t really help.
Wil Wheaton actually makes me feel better about myself as a person, as a fan, and as a nerd. He is completely wonderful. And if you are ever upset because someone makes fun of who you are, just watch this video. Memorize it. Know that 50,000 people in Denver, Colorado have gone through the exact same thing you’ve been through and came out alive. I can agree with Wil Wheaton–even if 400 kids are making fun of you now, it does get better. Stay strong, fandom. We love you.
And check out his crazy Minnesota Accent in the new FX Fargo trailer!
We’ve got an indeterminate amount of time before we’ll once again see Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman reunited on Baker Street, it’s true. But that doesn’t mean you have to wait until the next Hobbit movie to see Freeman! Catch our favorite hedgehog-lookalike in the new FX “original” series (but based on that 90’s cult classic from the Coen brothers) Fargo. If you’re happy to see Freeman in this FX reimagining, you can write a thank you note to his wife, Amanda Abbington. A longtime fan of the movie and owner of a “Better Call Saul” t-shirt, Abbington basically forced Freeman into the project when she heard it was an opportunity. She gleefully told Vulture that Bob Odenkirk follows her on twitter now.
Fargo promises to be just different enough from the movie, with a new plot and marked personality shifts in characters. Basically, the series is an AU*, OOC* Fargo fanfic* which won over the Coen brothers so thoroughly that it got its own show. That’s okay, we’re dealing with a superbly talented cast: Freeman and Odenkirk, as well as Billy Bob Thornton, Colin Hanks, Kate Walsh, and many others. All of whom, based on the trailer, do a stellar (if not a smidge over-the-top) Minnesota accent.
Joel and Ethan Coen returned to executive produce the show and wrote three episodes. Fans of the original: if you have a problem with FX’s Fargo, you know where to direct your hate mail.
Other executive producers include series writer, Noah Hawley, the exceedingly talented pilot director Adam Bernstein (who already proved his chops in 30 Rock, and Breaking Bad), Warren Littlefield and Geyer Kosinski.
Fargo will air on FX, April 15 at 10pm/9C. Still itching for more info? Take a peek at Yahoo’s “first look“.

Sooner or later, Cersei always gets what she wants.
These are some intense times. Arya Stark is still out there, Daenerys gains power with every land she liberates, and Jamie seems to be in love with Cersei regardless of that time with Brienne. Jeoffry still appears to be a prick, thinking he beat Stannis, and it looks like Bran has to end something. What power does Bran actually have that he must go to the North? Can he beat the White Walkers? I could read the book, but I’m sort of invested in the TV show.
This trailer gives us plenty more fresh peeks at the upcoming season that’s just a few weeks away! And might I say Iwan Rheon is looking quite good in this trailer? If you like what you see there, might I suggest Misfits? You have to wait until Season 2, but it’s worth it.
The song for this video is “Devil Inside” covered by London Grammar from the original song by INXS.
It’s taken 20 years, but we’re almost there. “The Giver” comes out August 15, 2014!
Larkable brought you new stills back in January for the exciting movie adaptation of Lois Lowry’s popular book, “The Giver”. Produced by and starring Jeff Bridges, who was the book’s biggest advocate for decades, the movie also features Hollywood giants like Meryl Streep and Alexander Skarsgård, as well as breakout performer Brenton Thwaites (who plays Jonas Salk).
Audiences can also expect to see Katie Holmes and Taylor Swift among the many faces in the trailer. Some surprises include a romantic sub-plot from screenwriter Michael Mitnick, and some pretty futuristic technology, advanced beyond what was presented in the book — but worse things could have happened. As Bridges told Entertainment Weekly, “the spirit of the story is still there.”
What do Captain Hook and Tom Hiddleston have in common? A love for expressing themselves in song, apparently.
It might surprise some that, given his cinematic success in the last few years(i.e. Thor, Avengers), Tom Hiddleston has a role in the fifth installment of Disney’s Fairy SeriesThe PirateFairy, headed straight to Blu-ray/DVD this April.
Hiddleston and Christina Hendricks (Mad Men) voice a young Captain Hook and Fairy Zarina (respectively) who steals pixie dust from Tinkerbell (Mae Whitman, Parenthood) for certain nefarious reasons (pillaging and plundering, you know, “Pirate Stuff”). Add this to the list of villains that Hiddleston seems to relish playing. For an actor who has a reputation for being the ultimate good guy, he certainly loves to be bad, doesn’t he? Oh well, he always makes for a villain you can’t help but love and his rendition of the legendary Captain Hook is no exception. Check out a glimpse of Hiddleston’s take on Peter Pan’s foe below! Catch The Pirate Fairyon blu-ray and DVD April 1st!
We can expect a full length trailer for the upcoming Disney film, Maleficent, tomorrow. Meanwhile, get a sneak peak at this new promo in which Angelina Jolie’s character confesses to having wings once, like the other fairies. The highly-anticipated Maleficent is set to tell the backstory of the villain to the 1959 classic Sleeping Beauty. As Entertainment Weekly stated, fans of the original film know that the character Maleficent is more than a dark sorceress, she’s actually a dark fairy. It appears that in expanding her mythology, Disney will reveal why, as a fairy, this classic villain never possessed wings like the others (i.e. Flora, Fauna and Merryweather).
It was pretty easy to guess, based on previous trailers, that Maleficent’s origin story will set the stage for the vengeful curse placed on Aurora — and it appears that the loss of her wings was possibly one of many inciting incidents behind the Dark Fairy’s cruel prediction.
Catch the movie on May 30, 2014!
