Goodreads is currently in the final round of the Choice Awards 2014, and some of our favorite authors are there for your vote!

Follow the link to vote in the Goodreads Choice Awards 2014. Voting is open from November 17th-24th 2014

Right now you can vote for your favorite books at Goodreads in all different types of categories. There’s Best Young Adult Fantasy & Science Fiction of 2014 which is going to be tough to choose between Veronica Roth, Marissa Meyer, Cassandra Clare, Sarah J. Maas, and Pierce Brown. All their books released in 2014 have in the upwards of a few thousand outstanding reviews (which also means if you’re looking for something to read, you need look no further than these nominees). There’s also Best Young Adult Fiction and Best Middle Grade & Children’s (which honestly, does anyone really ever grow out of Middle Grade & Children’s genre? I don’t think so).

Middle Grade & Children's Books

And, of course, there’s the grown up literature as well. My favorite Fantasy author, Brandon Sanderson’s Words of Radiance naturally made the Best Fantasy of 2014 list and Hugh Howey is up for Best Science Fiction of 2014.

If you’re not familiar with some of the categories, don’t worry, you don’t have to vote on them. I’m not hugely into Horror or Non-Fiction, so I skipped those categories as it wouldn’t be fair to vote when I’m ignorant of the candidates.

I’m not wildly active on Goodreads, but if you’re not familiar with it, it’s good to browse. Oftentimes the reader reviews are brutally honest so you can get a clear idea of whether or not a book might be up your alley. We at Larkable definitely say give it a shot and find your next favorite book here!
