Even if you’re not a comic strip follower, DREDD wasn’t a terrible catch, but does this rock-em-sock-em-flick need a sequel? That’s actually up to you.
I’m not a big fan of militaristic dystopias, but DREDD actually wasn’t terrible. While normally my favorite part of Karl Urban movies is Karl Urban’s face, the incredible cinematography and special effects made me wish I would have coughed up the cash to catch it all in 3D, even if I didn’t get to catch a glimpse of that dashing Kiwis‘ smoldering good looks.
I might get a second chance, though. There is a petition going around to bring about DREDD 2. That’s not a joke. In fact, don’t take my word for it: Karl, would you like to take it from here?
